Here's wishing everyone a Blessed Christmas! :) Hope all of you had a good Christmas and holiday! I am so glad for this long weekend, where I get to catch up my sleep and of course, my scrapping!! :)
This is what I have done this weekend using Webster's Pages - Western Romance:
Yes, this is for a December challenge by Webster's Pages. The requirements are to use Western Romance Collection Papers and Push pins. See my 2 cameo push pins on top of the Princess Petals flower? Love these cameo push pins, they add a vintage touch to this layout.

Another MME Challenge
Hi everyone! Hope all of you had a good week and all ready for Christmas, which is just 7 days away! :) This is the challenge which I am going to take part in - MME Blog Challenge 30 : Layout.
The challenge? To design a layout based on this fabulous sketch with any theme and of course, MME products :
I was excited when I saw this sketch...because this will make me get out of my usual habit, and to scrap with more than a photo on a layout! :) I am so used to always scrapping with a photo in a layout, that somehow it just come naturally...selecting one photo (out of the many I had taken, it can be quite difficult to choose a good one sometimes) and start to scrap.
And here's my layout :
This is about a wonderful dinner I had with my friends - just the girls. On this layout, I have used Stella and Rose collection - Hattie papers, I love the colours and the designs, which I fussed cut the dollies and the cute little flowers.
I have distressed the four sides and rubbed distress ink after that. The cotton ribbon has been lightly misted with tinge of blue. The photos have been lightly rubbed with blue distress ink to as a matting.
Some close-ups:
I have lightly rubbed some distress ink on the cotton lace ribbon and added a MME Hattie chipboard.
I have added some beads on the flowers to create some texture.
Here are the pretty dollies from one of the papers, inked with distress ink.
Got some inspirational ideas to scrap last week and can't wait to scrap these ideas out :) I am soooo excited, I am just so looking forward to the long weekend!!! Will update it here once I get them done :)
Till then,
signing off,
Karen :)

What a busy week!
Hi Everyone :) It has been a busy week for me, but managed to squeeze in a little time to scrap a layout for another challenge I am going to taking part in. I will post the layout in a couple of days' time, I'm just waiting for the right time and place to take a good photo of it.
Here I would like to share with you a layout which I have done some time back:
And here are some close ups:
Flowers with vellum leaves and pearls. For one of the background papers, I have used plain white cardstock and stamped with butterflies stamp, using brown ink. I used distress inks (Antique Linen and Scattered Straw) to change the colour of the paper to suit the layout.
As you can see, I have pasted vellum paper around the photo and outlined it with glitter to have the photo stand out.
This layout is done to remember all the little and big things to do for the wedding preparation.
Thanks for dropping by!
Do drop by soon, as I will be posting the layout for the new challenge I am going to take part :)
