Another MME Challenge

Hi everyone!  Hope all of you had a good week and all ready for Christmas, which is just 7 days away! :) This is the challenge which I am going to take part in - MME Blog Challenge 30 : Layout.

The challenge? To design a layout based on this fabulous sketch with any theme and of course, MME products :
I was excited when I saw this sketch...because this will make me get out of my usual habit, and to scrap with more than a photo on a layout! :) I am so used to always scrapping with a photo in a layout, that somehow it just come naturally...selecting one photo (out of the many I had taken, it can be quite difficult to choose a good one sometimes) and start to scrap.

And here's my layout :
This is about a wonderful dinner I had with my friends - just the girls.  On this layout, I have used Stella and Rose collection - Hattie papers, I love the colours and the designs, which I fussed cut the dollies and the cute little flowers.

I have distressed the four sides and rubbed distress ink after that.  The cotton ribbon has been lightly misted with tinge of blue.  The photos have been lightly rubbed with blue distress ink to as a matting.

Some close-ups:
I have lightly rubbed some distress ink on the cotton lace ribbon and added a MME Hattie chipboard.
I have added some beads on the flowers to create some texture.

Here are the pretty dollies from one of the papers, inked with distress ink.

Got some inspirational ideas to scrap last week and can't wait to scrap these ideas out :) I am soooo excited, I am just so looking forward to the long weekend!!!  Will update it here once I get them done :)

Till then,
signing off,
Karen :)
